The 798 cc triple is what every French road test praises: pulling from low revs, sharp, and frankly playful in Sport mode, with a full exhaust note. Le Repaire des Motards calls it "a benchmark for character and quality in the midsize roadster class".
Neutral and predictable, with Showa suspension that is ajustables — a rarity at this price — and a geometry that makes the bike very agile on tight roads. The standard Michelin Road 6 tyres are rated excellent. On the hairpins of the Chartreuse, this is exactly its terrain.
J.Juan calipers up front, powerful and easily modulated stopping, effective ABS including in bends, with no harshness on initial bite.
A fairly upright position that gives good feel at the front, and a well-shaped seat. Pillion room, on the other hand, is tight, and grab handles are not fitted as standard.
