The 776 cc twin draws its strength from torque, generous and available from mid-range. The French press calls it honest and easy to use, but agrees it lacks pep at high revs: Le Repaire des Motards calls the power "a little short" for anyone after a show. On mountain-pass roads, it is precisely that low, full torque that does the work.
This is the bike's acknowledged strength. The steel trellis frame and KYB fork give a front end that testers call très précis, allowing millimetre-accurate lines through bends. The slightly long wheelbase takes away a touch of agility but adds stability — a trade-off that suits a rental bike, where you get to know the machine as you ride.
Nissin calipers, braking rated powerful and progressive, with a two-channel ABS that does its job in all weathers.
An 810 mm seat that suits most builds, and a mildly sporty position. It is a naked roadster: beyond 110 km/h you take the wind.

The Suzuki GSX-8S produces 83 hp and 78 Nm from a 776 cc parallel twin. It requires a full A licence and is not available in an A2 version in our fleet.
810 mm. It suits most builds, and its 202 kg are easy to handle at a standstill.
It is a naked roadster with no fairing: the position is good and the seat decent, but the wind makes itself felt beyond 110 km/h. For motorway work, the Tiger Sport 660 in our fleet is the better choice.

Every rental includes servicing, preparation, 24/7 assistance, a lock and 200 km included on the first day then 100 km per day (unlimited available from 3 days as an option; extra km €0.60). Optional 24/7 self-service pick-up and return (€15 per rental); otherwise agency pick-up, 9am–6pm. The deposit is a simple card hold (€1,500), released on return.
Good to know: insured by our partner FMA, the GSX-8S is reserved for riders aged 25 and over, holding their A licence for at least 2 years.
The Cirque de Saint-Même & the Col du Granier
